An patch has been released for the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 versions (including each download version) of Cotton Guardian Force Saturn Tribute.

The latest update includes:

・The Scanline setting has been added. Access the Scanline setting by going to Screen Setting -> Scanline.

・A setting to speed up loading has been added. The setting can be configured in Extra Option -> Fast Loading.

・Added a new feature to Cotton 2 and Guardian Force that allows you to set unlimited continues, which was previously only available in the main game of Cotton Boomerang. This can be set in Extra Option -> Credit.

・The input delay has been improved.

・Other minor bugs have been fixed.

The latest version is as follows.

Nintendo Switch version : 1.01

PlayStation 4 version (for US / EU) : 1.01

PlayStation 4 version (for Asia) : 1.02

PlayStation 4 physical version (for Japan) : 1.03

【Improvement in the input delay】

For the titles on each platform, the average number of frames (*) below was improved.

*This is the average of the values obtained from multiple verifications and comparisons of the old version and the improved version under the same environment.It may vary depending on the device and environment you are using.

Cotton 2 Saturn Tribute, Cotton Boomerang Saturn Tribute, Guardian Force Saturn Tribute, and Cotton Guardian Force Saturn Tribute Bundle have been released today on Steam.

The Steam version supports the following features.

・Online ranking

・Local 2P-play

・Steam Achievements

・Option menu descriptions and in-game guides available in Japanese, English, Traditional Chinese, and Korean.

・Window / Full Screen

・Vertical sync on / off

Other features and game content will be the same as the latest version for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.

The Xbox One version is scheduled to be released in first half of 2022.

We are pleased to announce that the update to improve the input delay for “Cotton Guardian Force Saturn Tribute” for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 (including the downloadable versions) will be released in late January or early February 2022.

The Steam version will be released at the same time. The Xbox One version is scheduled for release in early 2022.

【Course of events】

There have been cases where input delays have occurred in this game due to the following reasons.

(1) Delays due to hardware and engine performance

(2) Delays caused by input devices or monitors

As a result of our verification and response, we have been able to make technical improvements in the area related to the above factor (1).

We also prepared an environment where you can compare the improved version with the old version at the recent trial event. And we were able to let the users experience the improvements. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who came to the trial session. We appreciate it greatly.

We are now preparing for the update, based on the feedback from the trial.
